The Supercar Event

I don’t drive and I don’t know much about cars, but I have watched entire episodes of Top Gear and I’ve enjoyed them. I might not know the technical side of cars, but I do know I wouldn’t say no to being driven around in any vehicle! So when I heard about the Supercar Event I was intrigued.

The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and a team of volunteers have organised The Supercar Event to raise money for the charity.

2017 marks the 11th year of the charity event, which takes place over the weekend of the 24th to 25th June at Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh. With a variety of entertainment and attractions available, it’s a great day out for families and car enthusiasts alike.

Visitors will have a chance to ride in one of the Supercars around the infamous and iconic Top Gear track. There’s also an opportunity to get up close and personal with over 150 incredible and impressive supercars such as the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 991 GT3RS and the Lamborghini Aventador SV.

There’s more! You can hitch a ride in helicopters, trucks, Caterham Sevens, hovercrafts, Segway’s, mini tanks, Diggerland, the Lexus LFA and ride a 4×4 course. Teenagers over 14 can have their first driving experience with Stay Safe Driving School and younger visitors can take a ride in a fire engine or try the Mini Monster Truck Mania. Celebrity Peppa Pig will also be in attendance in the children’s area.

Not only is the Supercar Event one you’ll remember for years to come, it’s all for charity too.

The Children’s Trust supports thousands of children and families across the UK. The charity provides rehabilitation and support to help children with brain injuries. The charity has a national specialist centre in Tadworth, Surrey, as well as a special school for children that have profound and multiple learning difficulties. The Children’s Trust provides transitional medical care to children with complex health needs.
