The Honey Peach Affair

The Honey Peach Affair is the debut novel by Dale Bradford and is set in the backdrop British adult entertainment industry of 2003. It all begins with a social drink with adult entertainment star Honey Peach. This innocent encounter triggers a chain of events that becomes the biggest adventure of the lead character film reviewer Bruce Baker’s life.

When Honey disappears, Bruce finds himself embroiled with a variety of situations with questionable individuals whilst dealing with a boss who is looking for any excuse to sack him. If that wasn’t enough, Bruce lands one of the biggest stories any journalist could ever hope to uncover…except he doesn’t want to write it.

Using his own experience as editor of adult industry publication ETO, Dale gives you a sneaky peak into the workings of the adult industry in a believable way without it being the main focus of the story. The book is wonderfully written, the realistic dialogue and the colourful characters brings the story to life and transports you into the world of the book from the very beginning.

This murder mystery novel is full of twists and turns coupled with moments of light-hearted comedy that keep you guessing until the end. It’s an addictive read and as soon as I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I just wanted to know what happened to Honey! I read it on holiday and finished it quickly because I couldn’t put it down. It was that good!

I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to the next instalment of the adventures of Bruce Baker.
